“Culture changes when a small group of people find a better way to live and the rest of us copy.”
That is from one of my favorite columnists, political commentators, and writers over the years, now former New York Times columnist David Brooks. I have found his insight over the years, primarily through his appearances on the PBS Newshour, thoughtful and engaging. While I certainly won’t agree with all of his opinions or perspectives, I always appreciate his two cents. Even if I disagree with it.
I found it kind of surprising that he left the New York Times earlier this year. A place he had been at for some 23 years. But I appreciate someone like him continuing to take chances in life. Should give the rest of us hope that there are other options, evern if they don’t jump out an bite ya.
Being the writer he’s been, this is a big chapter to be closing and possibly another big one to be opening. And doing it knowing you’re towards the end of your book.
