Beat Louisville get fined 25k

The University of Kentucky beat the University of Louisville on Saturday night in Lexington by a score of 40-34. Afterwards the Kentucky students rushed the field in a joyous daze as they beat their in state rival for the first time in 4 years and their first victory over a top 10 school in 30 years.

What do they get in return? A $25,000 fine by the Southeastern Conference. Apparently it’s a league policy designed, I’m sure for the safety of the players, fans, staff’s etc.

Fair enough.

But if I’m Kentucky or whoever else in the SEC and we just won a game as big as this I’m sure the athletic department will be happy to pay.
