See Ya Later Kurt

Kurt Vonnegut died the other day at 84. He suffered brain injuries after a recent fall.

I first got introduced to Vonnegut through Jerry and Liz. As a graduation gift they game me a 12 pack of Corona and "Breakfast of Champions" by Vonnegut. I don’t know what they were trying to say but in any event I drank the beer first.

"Breakfast of Champions" is still one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. I wasn’t much of a reader of books before "Champions" but afterwards I became an avid reader.

I read a few other Vonnegut novels like "Player Piano" and "Cat’s Cradle" but "Breakfast of Champions" is still one of my favorites.

You’ll be missed Mr. Vonnegut.
